Some of the areas I work with are anxiety, depression, stress management, bereavement, long term illness, spiritual emergence and emergency.  You are free to bring any experience or issues that are important to you for us to work with. Within my training I have looked at and am interested in upbringing, childhood and how this affects current relationships, other areas in life and supporting positive change in ways of relating to others and self from counselling and psychotherapy.  I have had training in working with people given different mental health diagnoses to help people process and understand a range of experiences that may be felt as strange, difficult or scary.

I trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I am a Individual Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I offer psychotherapy and counselling within a person centred approach. I have been practising counselling and psychotherapy since 2014 and started up my private practice in 2018. I currently charge £30 per hour for sessions.

I offer a non-judgemental, safe, and understanding environment to help you inquire into yourself and life. Supporting you to find your own insights, new ways of being with yourself and what arises in life and work towards healing and freedom with these.  One way that therapy works is to help you better hear yourself and find out what you need. It can be a space to get things off your chest, rest or reset, find perspective and understanding in life and relationships, as well as having someone to hear and be with you as you share and explore what is difficult.

I have previously volunteered counselling clients at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, Nottinghamshire Hospice and the Carer’s Federation. I currently see clients at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust and Nottinghamshire Hospice as well as in private practice.  I have also worked as a Registered Adult Nurse for a number of years with in Nottingham University Hospitals Trust. I work within the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
